I have friends who say they cannot travel because they have pets or that they cannot have pets because they travel. Thanks to Mountain Pet Resort I am spared that choice. My terrier starts wagging her tail the minute I turn down the driveway, & she leaps into Paula’s arms without one backwards glance at me.

Paula at Mountain Pet Resort saved our dog\u2019s life.\u00a0 We could tell immediately that Paula took a keen and genuine interest in her overnight visitors; however it wasn\u2019t until February, 2006, that we truly realized the personal professional attention provided at Mountain Pet Resort.\u00a0 During a recent stay at Mountain Pet Resort, Paula noticed that Chewie, our Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier\u2019s urine was a bright orange color and sensed that our beloved Chewie had a major health problem that couldn\u2019t wait four days until we returned home.\u00a0 Paula immediately called my husband to inform him of Chewie\u2019s condition and ask permission to take her to the veterinarian.\u00a0 After being examined by the veterinarian, Chewie was diagnosed with a life threatening liver ailment requiring immediate attention.\u00a0 Paula not only transported Chewie to and from the clinic, but she served as the \u201ccontact\u201d person between us and our veterinarian in addition to administering the prescribed medications and special dietary needs in our absence.\u00a0 Chewie remains on medication and a special diet and is responding to treatment, but we still don\u2019t know if she is \u201cout of the woods.\u201d What we do know, however, is that we are all grateful for Paula\u2019s keen observations, quick actions, and love of animals which at the very least gave Chewie a fighting chance at recovering.\u00a0 When you drop your pet off at the boarder, all you can ask for is conscious and professional care and that is what you get at Mountain Pet Resort.

We are pleased to recommend Mountain Pet Resort (Paula & Anna) as a good facility for dog training & boarding.\u00a0 Our one-year old Australian Shepherd mix presented some serious behavior problems but after a four-week stay with Paula undergoing an extensive behavior modification process and obedience training, he returned an almost perfect dog.\u00a0 In addition, we board our dog, Dundee, quite often\u00a0with Paula & Anna and are very pleased with the care he receives. Dundee loves to go to their kennel.

I first came in contact with Paula and Mountain Pet Resort in the Spring of 1995. I had purchased a Newfoundland and desired basic to advanced obedience training. I also had a Maltese who had become quite spoiled and unruly.Within\u00a0two and a half of the four week training period, I visited Paula & and my dogs. My Newfoundland, Dolly, could (on command) sit\/stay, down\/stay, heel, come, and go to “place”.\u00a0My Maltese, Peaches, was housebroken and learning her commands. Since their stay with Paula, I find myself complementing her daily. Both of my dogs have become productive and loving members of our family. I attribute their adjustment and our enjoyment of them to Paula.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Although her training talents seemed almost miraculous to me, my greatest admiration with Paula rested on her ability to relate to my dogs. Paula has an extraordinary rapport with animals and her talent to gain the respect of the dog and at the same time his\/her affection is amazing.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

I have since used Mountain Pet Resort for boarding purposes and recommend Paula to all my friends. It never fails when I have\u00a0returned from my trips that Paula will have a story to tell about my dogs indicating that she truly spends time with them, learning their individual personalities. I have often joked to my friends not to be offended if Paula does not know their name, only their pets name. Paula knows dogs and her expertise surpasses\u00a0anyone of which I have come in contact.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The children’s literature character Dr. Doolittle has the reputation of being able to “talk and walk with the animals”. Paula is the Dr. Doolittle of the ’90s. A dog in Paula’s care is more than fortunate – he is in heaven.

THANK you SO very much for your incredible care of my two girls.\u00a0 You know I was VERY nervous and stressed to “board” them for two weeks.\u00a0 I was FREAKING out when my pet sitter bailed on me just 3 days before our trip.<\/span><\/p>\n

I knew when the Avarys recommended you that you were GREAT!\u00a0 They are crazy about their dogs, like I am mine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pizza and Penny got more exercise, activity, and stimulation with you\u00a0than they do\u00a0just lieing in my office all day watching me work. They came home happy, healthy, and peppy!\u00a0 I can tell they were well treated!<\/span><\/p>\n

Your care and diligence when Pizza had her “intestinal” issue :0) was incredible.\u00a0 Calling our vet and having several conversations with him to decide the best care for her was WELL above and beyond!!\u00a0 Thank you.<\/span><\/p>\n

I will be using your “resort” MANY times in the next years.\u00a0 We travel a great deal and finding a trusted pet sitter has always been a BIG chore.\u00a0 I now know that my girls are safer, better cared for, and more active with you than staying at home.\u00a0 Plus, it was much\u00a0cheaper!<\/span><\/p>\n

I promise to give you more than a 3 day notice next time!! :0)<\/span><\/p>\n
